Agritopia is in the Higley Unified School District. We had attempted early on to have Higley locate a special smaller elementary school at Agritopia, but their model is to build larger schools that would not fit in a project of this size.

For those wishing to attend public school, Higley Elementary School is within 1.5 miles and they have a new High School a few miles south of that campus. Higley intends to build a school in the project south of Agritopia and will include a High School, which is under construction.

Surrey Garden Christian School is a private Christian school in Gilbert. Formerly located on Greenfield Road between Guadalupe and Baseline, the school is quite unique. Instead of the traditional lecture approach and a single grade level per classroom, the school utilizes a multi-grade classroom with each student working at their own pace. Typically, three grade levels are in one classroom. There is also a kindergarten program and a home school program. Enrollment for the 2006-2007 school year was approximately 450 students. Students receive a well rounded education, mastering a wide range of subjects including the Bible.

Surrey Garden moved into its brand new facilities on December 2, 2002. Located just east of the Community Center, the school site is well located for auto access, ball fields, and an agricultural setting. The school facilities include a gym/admin/classroom building plus four other separate classroom buildings. In the open space are play areas, an open quadrangle, and a basketball court.
